Facebook vs. Blog

Hello my friends,

It's been a while since I have written a real post. I have been doing a lot of updates on Facebook. It seems easier and less time is required. Beside I think I might have a small addiction to facebook, but that's an entirely different story ;-) . I will try to make some brief updates below.

Pregnancy update:

Since finishing the first trimester and being well into my second I have been feeling pretty good. I had a really rough first three months. As far as the fibromyalgia goes that is still a bit rough. I am completely of my medicines and I haven't been handling that well. I am diabetic with this pregnancy so it is rough not being ale to eat the things you crave and it's hard having to cut back on carbs. It seems like that is a staple when I am pregnant. I also am trying really hard to control the diabetes with diet. If I don't I will not be able to birth at home. I am not sure if I updated everyone on that, but David and I have always wanted to birth at home. We never felt the okay from the Lord and had our babies in the hospital with a midwife instead of a doctor. I believe 100% that is was the right decision and don't regret it at all. However, with the possibility of this being the last one (???) We decided to look into it. We found a state certified midwife that does home births. We prayed about it and felt to go this route this time. She seems really awesome. We are really excited, and covet your prayers. If any of you have more questions or would like more details feel free to e-mail me. The baby girl is moving a lot. I still treasure every kick and movement. It never gets old :). I love the feeling of life. **happy Sigh** . We are searching high and low for a name. We had some picked out early on, but they don't seem like they fit. After feeling her move and get a little sense of who she is, as much as you can when they are inside, I feel she needs a different name so we are on the hunt. No luck yet. We will keep you guys updated.

The Kids:

Caleb is getting bigger by the second it seems. At the beginning of October I bought him new jeans and pants for school. He had grown out of the old ones. He was already needing size 6 AHHH! They aren't suppose to grow up like this. :-(  ;-) . He now is outgrowing those. My they get big fast. He's doing great in school. His teachers said he is a joy in the classroom and a really big help. He is so loving to his sister and brothers and to us. Oh yeah, and he starts kindergarten next year. He is so happy about that.

Noah is still the comedian in the family without even trying, and really doesn't care that he's funny either which makes him more funny. David is wanting to post about the funny things he has said lately so I won't steal his thunder by telling any of them. He has taken a huge interest in the baby. He wanted to watch a baby being born, and because he was really persistent about it, I found a live birth on You-tube to let him watch. Keeping in mind I would probably have to shut it off or he would be bored or scared. Much to my surprise he hasn't asked any questions I am not ready to answer at his age and he continues to want to watch it. He has been completely mature about it. In fact the other day I was going to a doctors appointment and he asked are we going to the "hurt one" Which is what he refers to the birth. I explained that it does hurt, but it is a good hurt and that it is worth the pain to have the sweet baby. He seems to really understand. I don't think this is the norm and I don't know that I recommend it for every kid. I really prayed about it and felt him out before I slowly began to explain the process. I have not done this with Caleb because he isn't interested. The reason I haven't just offered up the info to the others is proved in the following statement from Dawson. Dawson wanted to look at the video too, so for a second he watched and the got bored. He also responded to me, when I  asked him if he was going to kiss the baby when she comes out with,  "No that baby is yuck" he then proceeded to tell me that she would need a bath. He obviously watched the part when the baby had just been born and was being wiped down by the midwife. Anyway, I know that this might be a controversial subject for most people and that there might be a lot of people who would judge our decision with Noah, but all I can say is that each child is different and every parent will have to decide for themselves when or if it is ever the right time. -- On a lighter note. he has a lot of opinions on what the baby should be named. Although the name changes every other day with him :) . He also spends most evenings kissing my baby and talking to her. He is in love already. He is doing great in school. He loves going and will be being tested some time soon for the possibility of Aspergers. He is very high functioning if he has it, but some of his delays and behaviors suggest he should be tested and may need some extra help next year before entering kindergarten. We also have been potty training finally and it seems he has it down. We still have some trouble with umber 2 and still needs a pull-up at night. We are so happy to finally have success with this!!!

Dawson really wants to go to school like his big brothers so I have been doing some school with him at home. We haven't really picked it back up with it since the Christmas break but I plan on starting again soon. He does so good with his letters numbers and shapes. Colors, well..... that's a different story ;-) . Dawson and Sadie have really been having a blast together while the boys are in school. I guess she is getting old enough that they really enjoy playing together. I love to hear them belly laugh together it is a heart warming sound and brings a smile to my face every time. He is also wanting to potty train. He is taking a little longer to get the hang of it, but I think by time this baby is born we will have success with him too. YAY!!!

Sadie, oh Sadie she is coming into her own. She is such a sweetie and a lover. She loves to talk and has picked up more than her brothers ever did at this age. She loves to sing and Praise Jesus. She points up and then raises her hands and says "Praise Jesus". She loves worship music and she loves to dance. She tries to sing her ABC's and twinkle little star, but they frequently get mixed in together. It's very cute. She is really into picking out her clothes and she likes the idea of shoes, but keeping them on is a different story ;-)
