Playing in the snow....

Okay so we never get snow, However, a little over a week ago we had a "light dusting". The kids wanted to go and build a snowman. I felt bad about it. There just wasn't enough snow to build one. I did remember that McMamma gave some good ideas about playing indoors when it's yucky out. I took her ideas and put them to the test. It was a hit!! All that you need to play indoors with snow are the following:

Cheap shaving cream

Cookie sheets

toys that can be rinsed off easy (my kids favorites are their Thomas trains, little people and some cars)

and a bathtub ;-) hehehehe (you will see why)

The end result is:

All you have to do after a lot of fun is take them to the bath. It rinses right off and cleanup of the table is a snap. It just rinses perfect. Took me around five minutes or so for the clean-up. If you wanted you could always throw the toys in the bath with the kids to rinse them.

If you try it let me know how you liked it!!!!

Are you an ice cube??

I had this really cute conversation with Caleb this morning. It went like this.

Caleb: I need a tissue!

Mommy: okay bud, here ya go. Oh yeah you do need a tissue it looks like you might have a bad cold.

Caleb: (with a worried look on his face) Am I gonna be an ice cube???

I had too laugh. I suppose I have never used the word "cold" in that sense before. Mainly because he never gets sick. He is a cutie!!

I thought it couldn't be done

I was seriously thinking this precious little girl in my tummy was gonna stay named "baby girl" :) . However, after reading the on-line baby name "book" about 10 times. Making a huge list that we narrowed down to two okay names, and then discarding them too because nothing was making us happy, we finally found a name we both enjoy and are very excited about. It was around 10:30pm last night when we were frustratingly going through names again feeling like it was hopeless. We came across and name that we both turned to each other and said "hmmm.... I think I like that" . So I now give you the newest name of our newest member of the family..........

Corey Elise Guthrie

The only thing that may change is the beginning letter we may use a "K" instead of a "C" but we don't think so.

**happy sigh**
