Florida, No camera, No friend......

So the family got all packed up and headed to Florida right after Thanksgving. We get there and get all settled in to our time share that my Father-in-law let us use (Thanks Dave). It's then I realize we have no camera. We are suppose to shoot our family photos this week. I bought everyone new shirts, Sadie had a new dress, it was gonna be great. It was very bumming to say the least, besides we wanted to take random pictures while we were there too. So we call our nanny, Tahli, (who had to stay behind last minute) and ask her to please ship it to us. She ships it over night and we were suppose to get Monday afternoon. I call the front desk and can't get a response. So for two days I kept trying to reach someone to see if it had arrived since we did pay to ship it overnight - talk about expensive- My building wasn't to far from the office so I could have just walked but it rained a lot and of course with kids you always stay busy. Well, finally on Thursday we get the camera from them. The reason they did not call and inform us it had came was because my name was on it not my husbands so they didn't know who I was or what room I was staying in. It was finally, it was in our possession. Right in time too, we were waiting for Sadie to get sleepy Thursday night then we were gonna take the boys out for a game of putt-putt and ice cream (no we did not leave her there by herself). Needless to say, and with my history, You should already know by now what I am going to say. I FORGOT THE CAMERA AGAIN!!!!!!! At least this time we wouldn't have to ship it to ourselves because I only left it in the room. So we didn't get pictures of that either. It's okay though because tomorrow (Friday) we were gonna take the kids to Animal Kingdom. Surely I will take a ton of pictures then. We get up we leave we get there, and again no camera. I don't know if I can blame it on pregnancy brain or not, but I sure want too. We had zero pictures of that very fun adventurous week in Florida.

Not to make this sound to depressing, but I also found out one of my bloggy friends, Bethany, was there in Florida the same week, in the same time share, and same building, which is not very big, and we had no idea. AHHHH!! I wish I could have seen you guys :(

When it was all said and done we did have a great time and my kids had a blast on their trip.

A speacial thanks to Janet (my mother-in-law) for coming with us and helping us with our babies. You were such an awesome blessing!!

Thank you guys!!

I posted earlier last week, I think, about needing help with Baby names. I received some great suggestions. Through those names we began to think of other names and finally narrowed down to 3 girls names and 2 boys names.

Girls (in order of what we like best)

1. Lily

2. Hannah

3. Naomi

Boys

1. Carter

2. Asher

So now we just need to know the sex and then we will takes these names to the birthing room and decide when we see the baby, and who knows it could still change then.

How Jesus deals with interruptions

In life today, as busy as we are, and especially me as a mom, we often find multi-tasking to be a major part of our day to day lives. We deal with making breakfast while starting the dish washer, laundry gets started, milk spills, making a doctors appointment etc... . The list goes on and on. We can be doing, easily, 5 to 6 things at a time. Often when we are needing to get something specific accomplished, or when we just want to do something for ourselves, we find so many interruptions. I know in my house as soon as everyone has had their snack and milk, is watching a movie or is settled playing toys, and I need to make a phone call I jump on the oppuortunity. I don't know about you , but it is at that very moment that everything that could go wrong will. Someone ran out of milk and is thirsty for more, a very poopy diaper shows up, someone hit someone else or took their toy etc.. How do I react? Most of the time I do just that I react! I am in the flesh and I might get frustrated, angry maybe raise my voice even though the interruption is completely valid.

In Mark 5:21-43 (Message Bible)

21-24After Jesus crossed over by boat, a large crowd met him at the seaside. One of the meeting-place leaders named Jairus came. When he saw Jesus, he fell to his knees, beside himself as he begged, "My dear daughter is at death's door. Come and lay hands on her so she will get well and live." Jesus went with him, the whole crowd tagging along, pushing and jostling him.

25-29A woman who had suffered a condition of hemorrhaging for twelve years—a long succession of physicians had treated her, and treated her badly, taking all her money and leaving her worse off than before—had heard about Jesus. She slipped in from behind and touched his robe. She was thinking to herself, "If I can put a finger on his robe, I can get well." The moment she did it, the flow of blood dried up. She could feel the change and knew her plague was over and done with.

30At the same moment, Jesus felt energy discharging from him. He turned around to the crowd and asked, "Who touched my robe?"

31His disciples said, "What are you talking about? With this crowd pushing and jostling you, you're asking, 'Who touched me?' Dozens have touched you!"

32-33But he went on asking, looking around to see who had done it. The woman, knowing what had happened, knowing she was the one, stepped up in fear and trembling, knelt before him, and gave him the whole story.

34Jesus said to her, "Daughter, you took a risk of faith, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed! Be healed of your plague."

35While he was still talking, some people came from the leader's house and told him, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?"

36Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, "Don't listen to them; just trust me."

37-40He permitted no one to go in with him except Peter, James, and John. They entered the leader's house and pushed their way through the gossips looking for a story and neighbors bringing in casseroles. Jesus was abrupt: "Why all this busybody grief and gossip? This child isn't dead; she's sleeping." Provoked to sarcasm, they told him he didn't know what he was talking about.

40-43But when he had sent them all out, he took the child's father and mother, along with his companions, and entered the child's room. He clasped the girl's hand and said, "Talitha koum," which means, "Little girl, get up." At that, she was up and walking around! This girl was twelve years of age. They, of course, were all beside themselves with joy. He gave them strict orders that no one was to know what had taken place in that room. Then he said, "Give her something to eat."

Now Jairus came to him first and said please come my daughter is sick. There were so many I am sure saying help me, and wanting to see miracles and hear what the Teacher (Jesus) had to say. While this was happening an interruption came. -- Can you imagine with me for a second what Jairus was saying to himself. I came first, I asked first, my daughter is sick she will die if he does not come. I am sure he was angry and frustrated that something interrupted what he set out to accomplish. -- Jesus on the other hand was not. He was calm and wanted to know who touched him that drew so much authority and power from him. He knew someone with great faith had great need of this healing. After finding her and speaking to her, He then overhears the news that he is no longer needed it was too late. Jairus was probably so irritated by this point. My daughter is dead now, I was here first, forget this I should have never come. Be honest how many feel that way sometimes, maybe not towards God, but towards the distractions and interruptions that sometimes mess up our plans and allow us not to execute them. Jesus then turned and said why worry she is just sleeping Let's go.

Jesus handled the interruptions with grace, love and mercy. He took care of all that needed to be done and stayed with an attitude he requires us to have. One of compassion and grace. He is the perfect example of How to handle everyday interruptions. You can trust the Lord that he will help you accomplish that which is necessary. Put your trust in him and once again learn from his great example. I know I want to do this. How about you? Any great examples of Jesus' character that you are praying to be evident in your life?

LET'S START WITH SOME HISTORY FIRST SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP :)!!

David and I always like to have two baby names for each sex prior to finding out if our precious bundle is a boy or girl. It is just something fun we like to do, and challenging. We not only pick names that don't or can't have nick names made out of them (personal preference), but we are very interested in the meanings and feel they hold a lot of weight in deciding the final name. However, we do take two names in the birthing room usually with one particular being the main name. We always like to look at the baby and see if the name fits and it usually does. We like to have a back up name though just in case.

In the story about naming Noah we had originally decided on naming him Jaron. A couple weeks prior to the birth I really felt like God said to name him Noah. David was very adamant about not changing the name because we had called him Jaron since finding out his sex (prior to finding out the sex I was convinced he was a girl so I called him Olivia, yikes!!). Anyway, I told David that we should go in with both names and take a look at him and I bet him he would look like a Noah. So after he was born while the nurses were cleaning him up I asked David is he a Noah or a Jaron? He said definitely a Noah! :) So there is where the tradition started.

All that being said David and I are having a really hard time deciding on names or finding ones we like. We have picked one girls name and are leaning towards a second, but would love to hear of ideas you might have. We need help being creative and not picking names that are common.

Our first choice for a girl is Lily Annalynn (annalynn is our mother's middle names put together with an "a" in the middle)

The second girls name we are leaning towards, but are definitely not sold on is Hannah. We don't have a middle name picked out yet.

It will be fun to hear your ideas. Please help us!!

Update on little baby ;-) and us!!

I haven't written much about this pregnancy, but a lot has been happening. I usually don't get sick at all not even in first three months. This time though I have had my fair share of hugging the oh so lovely white bowl in my bathroom. I now understand the term morning sickness (or more like all day, whenever it wants to come sickness). Even though I am only 11 weeks tomorrow I think they may be off a bit b/c I am definitely feeling flutters and felt a pretty large kick the other day. Oh the signs of life. It warms my heart and brings comfort every time I feel it. My heart feels like it skips a beat. I never get tired of those feelings and it's always like the first time with every baby.

God has been good to us. We needed a van so everyone can fit in the care at one time and the first time we went looking we found a perfect deal and the Lord put a peace in our hearts about it.It has been a great blessing thus far. We didn't realize how big our family really is till we now have room, but not much.

We also needed a vacation (who doesn't). We decided this past March not to go on our yearly, one week in FL., trip. We really wanted too, but did not have the money and now that we have bought a van we really don't have anything extra. God is teaching me how to spend wisely and be frugal. Something I am not so good at. My mother-in-law just said that she wanted to help us with the shopping and budgeting and I am so excited about that. Anyway, back to the vacation. David has a work trip coming up and it is in the very place we vacation every year. So we decided to all go. David receives the accommodations, gas, and his meals reimbursed so this trip is costing virtual nothing. That is an answer from the Lord. Our family really needs sometime to spend together. I am so thankful to God for this opportunity.

We have costume pictures but I haven't taken them off the camera yet. Soon I will post them. Hope all is well with you guys!!! Blessings

I voted!

I have to say I was so nervous when voting today. I think this election is so crucial and I am praying that the right man enters this position. For some reason after casting my ballot, I began to cry and was burdened to pray for our country. I urge my fellow christian friends to pray for our country and leaders. I believe if we humble ourselves and pray that God will hear our prayers and answer them. God has a plan and wether our own will (speaking in general for the whole country) elects the right or wrong man He will have favor on us and good will come out of either situation. God is in control. My trust is in him!!!
