I was just gonna say that I am very late in blogging about what's been going on around here, and I am seriously late in writing something to my dear Noah for his 4th Birthday that was on the 2/21.
So here goes on the updates.
The week on Noah's birthday David had to be out of town all week. He had a business conference to go to. While he was gone and on Noah's birthday no less, I woke up and began to throw up. I was throwing up all day and couldn't get off the couch. The nanny wasn't scheduled to come in and help me that day. Due to me waking up so sick and throwing up about every ten to twenty minutes I couldn't even diaper the kids. I seriously couldn't move. Needless to say I had to recruit some help. My mother-in-law came over and was a complete life-saver (Thank you Janet). When she got here I was so sick I couldn't even give her instructions on what needed to be done. I think I might have spouted off that the kids all needed diaper changes and that they needed to eat something. I mentioned it didn't matter what it was that they ate as long as they stopped eating candy. They had gotten the candy jar down and was eating from it all morning. I couldn't stop them. Pretty smart of them boys huh? :):). Well by that evening my Aunt and Uncle came to stay and take over for Janet. I couldn't have made it without them either. When they arrived my Aunt and I decided that it would be best for me to go to the emergency room since I hadn't been able to eat or drink since the night before. I was getting dehydrated and had a horrible migraine which was just making everything worse. My aunt went ahead and set up everything for my uncle and we headed to the ER. For a Thursday evening it sure was packed. I was miserable as I sat there for three hours before being seen. I know it could have been worse but is sure felt like I sat there for an eternity. Anyway, they did an IV and started me on fluids (they said I was extremely dehydrated). They also gave me anti-nausea medicine and some narcotics to knock out the migraine. I started to feel a whole lot better after being there for a good 5 or so hours on the IV. To make a very long story short by Saturday I was doing much better. David came home Saturday night. What a sigh of relief. That was a rough go without him. Thank you to all who helped. You guys were great and I would not have made it without you!!!
Since then, the house chores like laundry and such got even further behind. As if it wasn't stacked to the ceiling already. AHHHH!!!! I do not like laundry. It's never done. Well that was a rabbit trail, but I feel like chatting :) The house is a wreck and I haven't had an opportunity to clean anything. I think I might go crazy if it doesn't get clean soon. I have just been having the hardest time catching up on time. It is amazing how fast things can fall behind in just two days. I also, work for our church as the Pastor's Secretary and all of that work fell behind too. Yikes! So much to do.
I don't work at the church office all week. I do most of the work from home on my laptop and of course answer the his phone while he is in meetings and such. He just forwards his number to me. It's nice being able to do most of it from home. I go in to the office every Wednesday for the weekly Pastors meeting and stay all day to work on various things. It is nice to get out and be with grown-ups once a week. Being able to work for the church and balance this along with still making time for my babies and husband was one of my goals for this year. While I haven't reached the goal 100% to my satisfactory I am well all my way.
One of my other goals was to continue to loose weight by staying on WW and swimming at the "Y". I am not even close to succeeding with that one. I don't know what happened but I came off the diet for a couple of weeks for a number of reasons, and now can't get back on it. Every time I try I end up failing by the end of the day. Anybody else having this problem?!?! It's so frustrating. **sigh**
We are planning to have Noah's birthday party next Sunday afternoon. He is excited. This is the first year he has cared at all about his birthday. He so proudly announces he is 4 to everyone. It seems like just yesterday he was the baby around here :(. My next post will be a birthday note about him.
This past week Caleb came down with a fever. Wednesday in the afternoon I noticed he wasn't acting right and laying down a lot. I checked his temp. because he felt like he was burning up and it was 102.6 degrees. Yikes! I took care of him all evening and he slept in our bed and in the morning his fever was 103 and just kept rising. By Friday morning the fever was still high and I knew I needed to take him to the doctors. He has the flu. YUCK! I came home and went to cleaning right away. I sanitized everything I could. Took every-ones sheets and blankets and put them in the wash. I took the kids clothes off and they had a bath (not Caleb). I kept Caleb in my room and tried not to let him out or the others in. I did the best I could. -----Thank you to our nanny Trish. I would not have been able to get all that done without her help. She is a God sent. We will miss you Trish! She is leaving us in May and returning home to NY. She is here for school and graduates in May. I don't want her to go. ----- Once again another rabbit trail, but a very necessary one. So back to the flu. As hard as we have been working to keep it clean of germs Noah still caught it. Today he starting running a temp, and Caleb is just starting to get better. I am praying the two little guys don't catch it, or David and I. So far we have been fine. Just another thing we have to get through :) It sure isn't boring around here!
I think I am all caught up. I hope that wasn't too gloomy. It just seems to be what's going on around here.
Oh yeah I am excited about starting to sell Premier Designs jewelry again. I stopped when I was pregnant with Sadie and prior to stopping was making a lot of money doing it. So that will be fun and will bring in the extra income that we need. It also doesn't take away from me staying at home since you do the shows at night. I schedule my own hours and can work it around Davids work schedule. It's tons of fun I love it! P.S. If anyone is interested in hosting a show or for those that live far away from me want to have a catalog show. Just let me know. It's a lot of fun!
Also, we are talking about doing some changes to the house like installing new flooring and painting and stuff. If all of this comes to pass I will post pictures but I am sure it won't be soon. We plan to do the labor ourselves and that takes time and we don't have any ;-) hehehehe!
Well I will end this very long post and give you guys a rest. If you even made it this far :)
Hopefully I will not fall so behind in blogging this time!!
I saw this and thought it was too funny! Even thought I am not real sure what a "reyal" is I am thinking it is equivalent to the dollar. Either way. I should have thought of that when I was little :-) Just kidding!!
